An affordable catastrophic medical insurance scheme which helps CPF Medisave account holders and their dependants to cover large hospitalisation bills resulting from the treatment of serious or prolonged illnesses at the Class B2/C level in Singapore hospitals.
Singaporeans can use their CPF Medisave to pay the premiums of MediShield or Medisave-approved Integrated shield plans from private insurance companies such as Prudential, AIA, NTUC Income, Great Eastern and Aviva. The can use their CPF Medisave to pay for their own or their dependants premiums up to a limit of $800 per insured per year for the below age 80, and up to $1,150 for those age 80 and above.
